Shawn Manske, BScH, N.D. grew up in Ridgeway, ON and attended Queen's University in Kingston, ON where he received his Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Biology.  His interest in the human body and plants developed during this time and he became more interested in natural means of making ones self healthier.  Through learning about the greater health benefits of food, he developed an interest in cooking for himself, his friends and family, meals that provided more than just a quick fulfillment.  On top of this, his love of the plant world and a fascination with their inherent ability to help heal the body and bring people back into balance inspired him to continue learning.

After university, time spent as an intern at Punta Mona Center for Sustainable Living and Education, a small eco-farm located on the edge of the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica, nestled in the rainforest, Shawn learned more about how the choices we make impact our health and the health of our planet.  His interest in the plant world grew further from that experience and led him to go back to school.

The following year Shawn enrolled at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) in Toronto, ON, a four year medical school program to become a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine.  As a clinic intern at the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic at CCNM he had the experience of working with many patients with various illnesses and states of health.  It was a great learning and rewarding experience to be a part of patients' path toward improving their own health.

Shawn Manske is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor by the Board of Directors of Drugless Therapy - Naturopathy (BDDT-N) and a member of the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND).  He continues to expand his knowledge by attending seminars and courses and to stay up to date with current research and treatment options.
